I would like to first start off by encouraging kindness and respect when visiting locations as many places continue to be short staffed and common courtesy goes a long way. The best pizza places around Clearwater
So, imagine that you have just arrived to your beautiful vacation rental, dropped your suitcases, and your stomach starts to rumble… what do you do? Well, if you’re in the mood for pizza, I have three of the best pizza places around Clearwater. First, I would suggest you try Cristino’s Coal Oven Pizza. They are family owned and operated, and there are a variety of pizzas, pastas, and calzones to try. I would have to say that I know Cristino’s best for their pizza. They top it with basil and oregano, the peperoni and sausage always have a nice kick to it. The best part, at the end of every meal, they bring you gelato samples! My personal favorite is the almond gelato, you truly cannot visit Cristino’s without indulging in their gelato! The staff is also very nice, always greet you with a smile, and the service is efficient. They also have comfortable outdoor seating that makes you feel like you are in the middle of Italy.
The next place I would suggest for pizza is Marcos, which is right down the street from the Avalon and has the best thin crust! If you’re looking for something quick and easy then Marco’s is the place for you! And bonus, they deliver! They do have very limited seating options, so I would suggest sticking with carry-out or delivery.
The third and final suggestion I have would be Frank’s Pizza. It is roughly 15 minutes from the Avalon but the pizza is definitely worth the drive. The pizza is always hot and tastes like it was just pulled from the oven! The crust is thin, the sauce always has a fresh garlic flavor, and they have a handful of outdoor seating options that creates a relaxed environment. My favorite is their sausage pizza which pairs nicely with the sauce.
